Procrastination or Get It Done?

Ok I think we have all been there in saying “I’ll get to it later.” For some things that’s true, like the dishes will still be there or the laundry. On the other hand that’s not always the case with some things as it may come with a deadline we push to the last minute to get done.

The bible clearly states that we should not procrastinate. As the verse, Proverbs 13:4 says, “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.”

I believe that the verse clearly says that not much good comes from procrastination. The one who gets it done will be richly supplied as in the feeling of being able to move on to something else and the feeling of accomplishment. There is also a sense of energy that comes with the completion of a task. Those aren’t the only things that we get from not procrastinating.

1 Corinthians 14:40 “But all things should be done decently and in order.” This is another verse that tells us we should get things done in a timely manner and in the correct order.

There are a few things I have learned in life and one is to just get it done. If we do that we can get on to enjoying life and the creation God has created. I challenge you to try and not put things off and just get it done.

Please comment and let us know what are some of your tips or strategies for getting things done and not procrastinating.
