Look to the Lord: Every Moment Present

As I sit here looking out my east kitchen window, I can see the sunlight. It looks like it is going to be another gorgeous day with lots of sunshine and warmer temps. I can’t help but feel the need to not waste any second and go out and enjoy it as I do my morning routine of chores on the farm.

Ephesians 5:15-17 “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

These verses are powerful. They remind us to not waste time. Take every advantage we can to do the will of the Lord and to do good. We sometimes get easily distracted by worldly things but we need to remind ourselves to focus on the will of the Lord. As we put our focus first on the Lord everything else seems to fall in place such as we feel more at peace and our attitudes are better, and our patience is more abundant.  Like an ant that is always working the same pace but yet gets his work done so we should keep our steady pace and let the Lord work in us so that we may do his will.

I challenge all of us to make the best use of our time making sure to focus on and understand what the will of the Lord is.
