Blessed for the Snow
I wake up to another day for a chance of snow, flurries, and of course where we live more wind. Don’t forget the many days of sub-zero temperatures that we have had to top it off. It has been a long month since the holidays with what seems like snow and wind each day. And yet, I feel blessed. No, I have not lost my marbles…yet! Procrastination or Get It Done?
Ok I think we have all been there in saying “I’ll get to it later.” For some things that’s true, like the dishes will still be there or the laundry. On the other hand that’s not always the case with some things as it may come with a deadline we push to the last minute to get done. The bible clearly states that we should not procrastinate. As the verse, Proverbs 13:4 says, “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.” I believe that the verse clearly says that not much good comes from procrastination. Scripture Verse: Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Devotional Thought: Sometimes we don’t feel very strong or courageous. Life can be hard and some days are just tougher to deal with than others. We need not fear because just as this verse says the Lord God goes with us and leads us. He will never leave us as long as we keep our faith strong.
