Faith on Fire: Prayer

Dear God, 

            I would like to take the time to thank you for another day you have blessed us with. I pray that we will get everything done that you have set out for us to do. I also pray that you would continue to help me to keep my faith on fire and let it shine. I praise you that even though things may not happen in my timing you provide what we need in your timing.

In your loving name, we pray,

Prayer can be long or short, simple or eloquent, but no matter how we pray God hears us. We do indeed need to engage in prayer daily and not just once a day but multiple times a day. We go on our cell phones multiple times a day or can have a long conversation with a family member or friend, so we should with God as well. God is all ears when it comes to listening to our prayers. We don’t have to have a special time to pray. Prayer can happen anytime, anywhere. 

The Bible says in 1st Thessalonians 5: 16-18 that we should pray without ceasing for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus. There is no set of rules when it comes to praying. Just come to God with an open and honest heart and he will hear you.
